About AOT
The Academy of Toddlers is an intimate private school in Phakalane, Gaborone — a place where children from one and a half to twelve years old learn, grow and belong.
The Academy of Toddlers (AOT) opened its doors in January 2000 and has grown into a fully-fledged, intimate primary school offering a comprehensive education for students from one and a half years to twelve across the greater Gaborone area. The school has a capacity of three hundred students.
AOT is committed to excellence in education and to the personal growth of every student. Children learn in a multicultural community where each person is respected regardless of nationality, race or religion.
Students discover the world, its people and its cultures through direct experience — whatever their age. Through play, study and the relationships they build, children learn to appreciate their own strengths and to respect differences rather than fear them. Combined with academic rigour, this prepares them for success and global citizenship well beyond the classroom.
A strong academic programme, centred on the core disciplines, gives every child a confident foundation for the next stage of their schooling anywhere in the world. AOT teaches a comprehensive curriculum that embraces both the Cambridge System and the Canadian System, linking classroom learning with virtual lessons through the Seesaw App. STEAM — Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths — is part of every child's daily experience.
